The cement and steel industries face huge pressures to reach net-zero targets, but the path to decarbonization is very challenging.
Carbon Re, an artificial intelligence (AI) for materials company, has developed Delta Zero, an AI-powered platform, especially for energy-intensive process manufacturing such as cement and steel. It applies the latest advances in AI and machine learning to uncover energy efficiencies and reduce costs and carbon emissions in industrial processes.
Delta Zero Cement
Carbon Re’s first product, Delta Zero Cement focuses on the critical preheater and kiln processes stages of cement production that accounts for all thermal fuel use and emissions in order to optimize fuel use, reducing carbon emissions. It can help cement factories save up to 8% of annual fuel costs, reduce carbon emissions by up to 20%, thereby saving from 3-10 million USD per year/plant.
Steel is the next industry we will focus on and we are currently looking for steel plants wishing to undertake pilot programs.
